Two young people were hospitalized after their car went off Lucia Falls Road and into trees and brush Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred just after 3 p.m. when a 2004 Infiniti G35 carrying five minors was heading westbound on Northeast Lucia Falls Road near the 18100 block.

One occupant suffered critical injuries and another serious injuries, the sheriff’s office said, and both were taken to hospitals. The other three in the car were either unhurt or suffered minor injuries.

They were released to their parents.

Not all of the passengers were wearing seat belts, according to the sheriff’s office. Alcohol did not appear to be a factor in what happened.

The driver is cooperating with the investigation, which is being handled by the sheriff’s office traffic unit.
