WOODLAND — A debate over whether to turn an industrial parcel in Woodland into a 76-unit apartment complex will come before the public again next month.

Oregon firm Corporate Financial Solutions hopes to rezone 1350 Glenwood St., Woodland, from industrial to residential.

Neighboring residents and business owners have fought it, saying the industrial parcel could eventually attract more jobs to the city. Nearly 50 people showed up to a meeting in June, presenting a petition with more than 100 signatures in opposition.

Corporate Financial Solutions, based in Boring, Ore., purchased the property earlier this year after paying $350,000 to the Woodland Community Swimming Pool Committee. A public hearing is set 7 p.m. Jan. 16 at 200 E. Scott Ave., Woodland.
