Vancouver – The Lower Columbia Estuary Partnership along with the city of Vancouver, Clark County and Port of Vancouver community members are invited to help plant trees at Vancouver Lake Regional Park from 9 a.m. to noon on March 4.

Many of the park’s trees were significantly damaged during storms this winter. Volunteers will plant red alder, Pacific dogwood and Nootka rose. The trees and shrubs provide food for local wildlife and shade for part of the footpath.

Volunteers can pre-register online at http://bit.ly/2kE9uAi.

Participants should dress for the weather, wear proper shoes and bring water. Tools, gloves and some refreshments will be provided. All ages are welcome to help.
