Girls basketball: Mark Morris 57, Woodland 43

Libby Bartleson took over in the paint in the second half as the Monarch pulled away in an elimination game in the 2A district tournament.

Bartleson had 17 of her game-high 21 points in the second half.

“They let her bang inside,” Woodland coach Glen Flanagan said. “We didn’t have anyone who could hang with that.”

Kayla Fredricks capped her career at Woodland with 11 points and nine rebounds.
