Woodland – All northbound lanes of Interstate 5 near Woodland are open after a landslide blocked the highway late last week, but a speed reduction is still in place for southbound lanes.

Washington State Department of Transportation crews cleared and reopened north lanes at Milepost 22.6 of I-5 near Dike Access Road around 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

The slide covered all three northbound lanes on Thursday afternoon, closing the freeway. WSDOT maintenance crews were able to clear two of three lanes later that night.

One vehicle was caught in the slide, but no one was injured.

Just north of the slide area in the southbound lanes of I-5 between Kalama and Woodland, speed limits remain reduced to 60 mph. Crews had to make emergency repairs to the roadway on Friday after significant pavement damage was discovered by emergency crews responding to the landslide.
