Pair win at Miss Clark County pageant

Event is a prelim for Miss Washington, Miss America programs

Abbie Kondel was crowned as the latest Miss Clark County, and Olivia Green as Miss Clark County’s Outstanding Teen, Saturday night at the annual Miss Clark County pageant, held this year at Fort Vancouver High School.

The young women completed onstage interviews and a talent competition, and modeled eveningwear and sportswear.

Along with the crown and sash, Kondel won a $2,000 scholarship. Green walked away with a $750 prize.

Wanda McNealy was first runner-up, winning a $1,000 scholarship, and Mariah Silonka was second runner-up, good for a $500 scholarship. McNealy was also named Miss Congeniality and won another $100 in scholarship money.

Contestant Willow Warren won an $8,100 scholarship from the International Air & Hospitality Academy.

In the Miss Outstanding Teen section, Kallie Hutchinson finished as first runner-up, winning a $300 award. Vanessa Munson was came in as second runner-up, with a $150 prize. Alexa McCallum was named Miss Congeniality and won a $100 award.

Miss Clark County is an official preliminary event to the Miss Washington and Miss America programs. The Miss Clark County Scholarship Organization’s goal is to generate scholarship dollars for young women.
