LA PINE, Ore. — Authorities say they found guns and ammunition throughout a La Pine home where an apparent murder-suicide took place.

The Bulletin reports (http://bit.ly/2hWoPNm ) that 56-year-old Jeffrey Randle Ford and 19-year-old Brandi Ann Schopper were found dead on Dec. 21 in a double-wide mobile home. Ford’s son, 20-year-old Jeffrey Thunder Ford, survived the shooting.

Police say Jeffrey Randle Ford and Jeffrey Thunder Ford had been arguing when the older man began pointing a gun at his son. Jeffrey Thunder Ford called 911 to report the incident and during the call was shot in the chest. The older man then shot his son’s girlfriend, Schopper.

Jeffrey Thunder Ford fled the mobile home and was found lying on the frozen street, bleeding, by neighbors who called the authorities. He survived his injuries.

According to police interviews with neighbors who witnessed the scene, the younger Ford said after shooting him and Schopper, the elder Ford went to a motor home parked in the front yard. The next day, the motor home remained in front of the house, with the driver’s side door open and several windows busted.

The elder Ford eventually returned to the house, where he shot and killed himself in the front room. Police found him with a semi-automatic pistol, court documents show.

Deschutes County District Attorney John Hummel said Tuesday that no charges will be brought against the younger Ford.

Ford eulogized Schopper in a recent Facebook post: “. You were my world and still and now (you’re) my Angel flying above me . I love you baby don’t ever forget that.”

In their search of the house, investigators recovered three firearms, spent casings and a supply of unfired ammunition. A hunting knife was found on the living room table near the elder Ford’s body. Drug paraphernalia was also found.
