Letter: Trump saves jobs

After reading the Associated Press story “Trump blamed for dashed dreams,” published Jan. 7, regarding Ford Motor Co.’s cancellation of the Mexico plant, our conclusion was that Donald Trump saved jobs for U.S. workers. What a strange perspective that story was.

As retired CFO and COO of a U.S. company, we know that internal jobs are critical for growth. Someone has to pay taxes to keep this economy moving. We are stockholders in Ford Motor Co. We want both Ford and the U.S. economy to win.

This story is one more example of the biased and slanted media approach. We are sure the hundreds of U.S. Ford workers are happy, also. We do not recall any news story, here or in Mexico, entitled “Obama blamed for dashed dreams,” when the workers at Ford were notified of the initial plant closure.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
