Clark County – The Parks Foundation of Clark County is accepting nominations for the Florence B. Wager awards, which recognize individuals for their outstanding contributions to the county’s parks, trails and recreational programs.

The awards are divided into three categories: The Leading Eagle, given to a community leader who has led initiatives that have significantly improved parks or recreation programs; The V-Formation Flyer, given to a exceptional volunteer who has tirelessly worked for volunteers; and The Tributary, a parks and recreation professional who has gone above and beyond his or her daily duties.

Nominations must be submitted by March 15 to the Parks Foundation office, P.O. Box 61424, Vancouver 98666 or via email. The awards will be presented at the Parks Foundation’s annual meeting and luncheon, Tuesday, May 9, at WareHouse ’23, 100 Columbia St., Vancouver.

The awards honor Florence B. Wager, who died in August 2012 after many years of community service and volunteerism.
