Letter: Keep voter information private

Now President Trump has initiated the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity, which is requesting a lot of personal information about every voter in the USA, including party affiliations and voting histories for a decade.

My party affiliation is not necessarily how I voted so why is all of this info of any use?

Unless, of course, someone plans to use it for some other purpose — like targeting individuals who are on the “wrong side” or perhaps this administration is trying to provide the Russians with any voter info they couldn’t obtain on their own. I vehemently oppose any such info going to this administration — they leak like a sieve and I happen to value my privacy.

Stay aware, neighbors. America is definitely not getting greater. Our status in the world has been sinking faster than the speed of light. We’ve become a bad joke and lost the respect of those who were our friends. To quote a tweet: “Sad.”

Too bad Trump doesn’t understand that the phrase “the buck stops here” is not literally referring to a dollar bill.
