Art galleries and local business celebrate this month’s art shows with a First Friday Art Walk in downtown Vancouver. From 5 to 9 p.m. July 7, visitors can explore opening receptions at participating art galleries, along with events and local music. Visit www.vdausa.org.

Art In The Heart, 4 to 9 p.m. July 7. The annual outdoor art show will feature a dozen local artists from Art on the Boulevard, selling work with special pricing. Visitors can look through oil, watercolor, mixed media paintings, along with photography, jewelry and pottery.

Sue Clancy created imaginary dog characters that visually describe her experiences at local restaurants, coffee shops, wineries, breweries, music events. Clancy used the medium of paper and acrylic.
