Camas-Washougal firefighters contain morning house fire

No one was hurt in a morning house fire in Camas on Saturday.

No one was hurt in a morning house fire in Camas on Saturday.

The Camas-Washougal Fire Department was sent to a working house fire on the 2100 block of N.E. Everett Street in Camas at 8:46 a.m. The north side of a two-story single family home was ablaze, but crews contained and knocked down the fire without significant spread to the rest of the home.

Residents were home at the time of the fire but escaped unharmed. The cause of the fire is unknown and is being investigated by the Camas-Washougal Fire Department Fire Marshal’s Office.

East County Fire and Rescue and Vancouver Fire Department assisted in fighting the fire.
