Letter: Orange is right for port

By Cathryn Chudy, VANCOUVER

The Port of Vancouver headlines its website “Welcome to what’s possible.” In a statement about sustainability, the port says it is “dedicated to the health of the economy, our community, and the environment.”

It is no surprise that many in our community recognize Don Orange as uniquely suited to become the next port commissioner. He is an honest, straightforward advocate for a transparent port that will live up to the port’s own sustainability plan, which has as its goal “to meet today’s global economic, environmental and social needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet theirs.”
