Hockinson — Abbie Kondel, Miss Clark County 2017, earned a top-10 finish at Miss Washington, held July 1 in Burien. Kondel is a sophomore at Brigham Young University, and earned more than $4,500 in the past 16 months. She is a pre-med major in college, and her talent was a power tap to “That’s My Girl.” Kondel ran on a platform of “Be Smart, Don’t Start: Drug and Alcohol Prevention and Awareness.” The 2017 Miss Washington, Nicole Renard, was crowned by Alicia Cooper, last year’s Miss Washington who hails from Vancouver and was Miss Clark County 2016.
