Letter: Trump works in secret

Well, our president has taken us from “fake news” to “no news” in less than six months. Although the meeting with Russian President Putin was originally scheduled for 35 minutes, it actually lasted 2 hours and 16 minutes, sans note taker or any recording devices whatsoever (“Putin denies interfering in election,” July 8, The Associated Press).

With only Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, recipient of Putin’s Order of Friendship medal, Putin’s Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, and two interpreters, does anyone really believe they spent all that time discussing “political” subjects, without any means of verifying what actually went on behind closed doors? Considering Tillerson’s prior “business” relationship with Putin, isn’t it just possible (probable) their meeting had other objectives? We’ll never know.

I’m sure we have nothing to worry about. Not!
