Last July, the EPA announced a $403 million settlement which required Tesoro to install more air pollution control equipment at existing operations.
Why wasn’t the proper equipment installed in the first place? How long were people exposed to the pollution before the problem was fixed? How many birth defects and early deaths resulted from the pollution?
Will EFSEC require full-time, full-spectrum monitoring of stack emissions?
Will we need to monitor the pollution ourselves and sue Tesoro for our medical bills?
Vote Don Orange for port commissioner to protect our health and the health of the Columbia River.
