WOODLAND — Regular drivers of southbound Interstate 5 between Kalama and Woodland should plan for delays starting next week.

Starting Monday, contractors working for the Washington Department of Transportation will begin the process of resurfacing the southbound I-5 railroad bridge south of Kalama and the southbound lanes of the North Fork Lewis River Bridge.

Drivers can expect daytime single-lane closures and nighttime double-lane closures through work zones. The speed limit will be dropped to 60 mph.

The work is expected to be finished this fall.
