Letter: Fourth of July a nightmare

By John E. Boehler, Vancouver

Where did you get that it was quieter this year, in respect to fireworks? People totally ignored the new rule for fireworks in unincorporated Clark County. Fireworks were fired off beginning July 2. The Fourth was a nightmare, with people from Portland joining up with friends here to have what sounded like war over who spent the most money on the biggest and loudest fireworks.

No more. Give your wasted monies to charities like the Wounded Warriors or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
