Vancouver — Divine Consign announced Friday the eight organizations receiving $2,5000 grants this year: Clark County Food Bank, Clark County Volunteer Lawyers Program, Daybreak Youth Services, Friends of Hospice Southwest Washington, Girls. Inc. of the Pacific Northwest, Mom’s Place Maternity, Police Activities League of Vancouver and Fort Vancouver National Trust.

Consignment shops Divine Consign Furniture and B. Divine Clothing Boutique, at 904 Main St., Vancouver, raise funds for the nonprofit organization Gifts for Our Community. The board of directors gave out the checks to the grant recipients at a luncheon.

“They certainly raise the quality of life for everyone in our community,” Carol Smith, board president, said in a news release.
