The congressional roll call is published each week in The Columbian. During the week ending July 21, Rep. Herrera Beutler, R-Battle Ground, voted in favor of delaying air quality standards and in favor of not paying attention to the EPA health-risk assessments for vulnerable populations in regards to poor air quality.
She also voted for gas line permitting being strictly controlled by FERC (notoriously in industry’s back pocket). She voted “no” on requiring iron and steel made in the U.S. to be used on all new pipelines and pipeline components.
Whose interests is she looking out for with these votes? How can you vote against U.S.-made steel in pipeline projects when we see so many products for governmental work still coming from China?
Well, one thing she can be sure of is that she will always have her privileged medical insurance, paid for by us, and it’s much better than we can afford. She certainly wouldn’t vote for that kind of health insurance for us.
Time to change our representative.
