Community throwing goodbye party for Jemtegaard Middle School building

Washougal – With a replacement Jemtegaard Middle School set to open for the start of next school year, the Washougal School District is saying goodbye to the old Jemtegaard building, which was dedicated in 1981.

The event will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Jemtegaard Middle School, 35300 S.E. Evergreen Highway, Washougal. There will be tours of the building, and a barbecue and bingo from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. It will cost $5 per person or $20 per family, and the tickets include the barbecue, bingo and a tour. The event is a Jemtegaard Middle School Booster Club fundraiser.
