Clark County — The Washington State PTA recently announced its new board of directors for 2017-19, including two Vancouver residents.

Teri Davis, who works in The Columbian’s advertising department, was named vice president of the board, and Kimberli Swenson was named program director.

The board convened for the first time earlier this month.

“I joined PTA because I wanted to be involved with the school in some way and with my daughter’s education,” Davis said in a release from the organization. “Over the past 10 years, I have found working with new PTA officers to develop their leadership skills to be my passion.”
