Letter: Good news? Not really

Good news from the Syrian conflict at last! It was reported on Tuesday that the U.S.-led coalition forces are beating both IS and the Syrian government. Statistics from the Syrian Network for Human Rights show that in May of this year, for the first time, we killed more civilians than either of our major opponents. Coalition forces, financed primarily by American tax dollars, killed 273 civilians, edging out IS, which killed only 268. The Syrian government lagged behind both with a measly 241 innocent men, women, and children slaughtered.

I guess that this is what victory looks like.
