New bus stop offers links to Gorge, city

WASHOUGAL — A new seasonal Gorge West End Transit bus stop is now located near 1 Durgan St., Washougal, between the Pendleton Woolen Mill parking lot and the Two Rivers Heritage Museum. The new stop will provide riders a chance to explore downtown Washougal on their way to or returning from hikes along Highway 14 this summer.

The bus provides transportation from the C-Tran transit center at Fisher’s Landing to trailheads in the Columbia River Gorge. It will run on weekends starting today through Sept. 3.

For those outside of Skamania County, the bus is free for riders 12 and younger, costs $1 for those 12-17, costs $2 for riders 18 and older and costs $4 for an all-day pass. For riders inside Skamania County, the bus costs 50 cents for riders 12-17 and $1 for riders 18 and older, while it’s still free for those 12 and younger and $4 for an all-day pass.
