Letter: GOP should fund education now

The state is days away from a government shutdown, but Republicans are still refusing to make a deal with Democrats.

We need a budget that fully and fairly funds education. The Republican budget, which raises college tuition and cuts the social safety net, isn’t the right path forward.

Republicans need to stop with the politics and start doing the job they were elected to do. Now.
