League of Women Voters to hold forums

Clark county — Want to learn more about all the candidates running in the upcoming elections?

The League of Women Voters of Clark County is holding a series of forums ahead of the August primary and November general election. Each forum will include candidates for local offices. A moderator from the nonpartisan organization will ask questions. The forums will be recorded on CVTV.

The first forum will be held July 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Camas Library, located at 625 N.E. 4th Avenue and will cover Camas City Council Ward 1, Position 2; Washougal City Council, Position No. 6 and Hockinson School District Director, District No. 5. Position.

The next forum will be on July 12 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Cascade Park Library, 600 N.E. 136th Avenue in Vancouver, and will cover the Vancouver mayoral race, Vancouver City Council positions 1 and 3, as well as the Clark Regional Wastewater District Commissioner Position No. 3.

The third will be held July 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Clark Regional Wastewater District Building, 8000 N.E. 52nd Ct. in Vancouver. The forum will cover La Center City Council Position No.1, as well as district 1, 2 and 5 for the Evergreen School District.
