Two men were killed this evening in a shooting in the Hearthwood neighborhood in east Vancouver.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the 1500 block of Northeast 140th Avenue shortly before 5:15 p.m. for a report of shots fired, according to a statement from the Vancouver Police Department.

When officers arrived, they found two deceased males at the scene, the statement said.

Detectives from the Vancouver Police Department Major Crime Unit will be continuing the investigation, according to the statement.

Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp said at 7 p.m. officers didn’t have anyone in custody and the suspect remained at-large.
