Letter: Roadside litter is a hazard

I am writing in disgust with the utter amount of garbage along Padden Parkway starting at 164th and Ward Road. As one travels along, it appears you are entering the slum area of any large city. There is so much litter on the sides and in the middle of the road.

What are we coming to as a society that we feel it is OK to toss our garbage out of our vehicle onto the road? The worst part is that no county programs are out there cleaning it up. Aren’t there people on community service that could be used to clean up this disgraceful mess?

If nothing is done, it will soon become a bigger traffic hazard than snow. We will all have to buy “garbage” tires instead of snow tires.
