One of the nation’s top amateur road racing series is coming to Portland International Raceway this weekend.

The Hoosier Racing Tire Sports Car Club of America Super Tour will bring racers from across the West Coast, including a dozen from Portland, for two days of racing.

Drivers compete across 28 classes and seven race groups in cars ranging from Porsches and Corvettes to open-cockpit vessels. The Portland stop is the eighth in an 11-city national tour.

Admission is free. On-track activities begin around 9 a.m. both days. Racing occurs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Sunday.
