Bennington — Nautilus Inc., celebrated Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day on April 27 by hosting 100 kids at the company’s world headquarters in Vancouver.

Kids used a potato gun to launch small rubber balls while learning about the relationship between launch angle and distance. They learned about thermal imaging by connecting a thermal imaging camera to a live TV feed and exploring the temperature levels in different things, including their bodies.

For digital engineering, the kids were put into a real-world video game simulation to teach them how technology can be applied to everyday activities. The kids learned about physical fitness, and how to focus less on numbers, sizes and tools and more on play, listening to their bodies and incorporating activity into their daily routines.

In the week leading up to the event, Nautilus families collected toiletry items to be donated to kids in need throughout the Evergreen School District.
