Letter: Be heard through your votes

Years ago, I was one of the silent majority that Tana Aichele wrote of (“Trump reflects silent majority,” May 12, Our Readers’ Views).

The religious right is a big part of it. God does not intend for us to remain quiet when surrounded by evil. We are not as ill-mannered as those who lecture us and spew their wrath to keep our opinions in check. It may be time to speak up before the immorality of the left becomes our permanent lifestyle.

We need to speak for all the innocent babies who are thrown away in the name of “pro-choice.” We must stand for the child who survives the womb and is then subjected to the pressure of socialism in our public schools. As parents, we have to instill in them that Christ spoke of a moral code that surpasses anything man can concoct. Remaining silent is a high price for our children to pay.

However, the silent do vote and they see through the smokescreen the liberal media imparts on us. The left will expose their hatred for our views. We must endure their insults. Personally, I pay them no mind.

I would like to thank Aichele for speaking up.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
