Two teenage boys will face possible murder charges after the victim of Friday’s altercation in a supermarket parking lot died.

Vancouver police announced Saturday that the victim had died and the suspects were in custody at the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center. Their names were not released.

The incident occurred about 2 p.m. Friday in the parking lot of Safeway supermarket, 13875 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd. According to police, a group of boys met in a parking lot, and a fight broke out.

One of the boys was hit by a vehicle and dragged. He suffered injuries that later led to his death at a local hospital, police said. The incident is being investigated as a hit-and-run.

The victim’s name has not been released.

More information should be available Tuesday, when the suspects are likely to make a court appearance.
