Outstanding Teens win scholarship awards

Olivia Green and Anna Countryman earned scholarships for their placements at Miss Washington’s Outstanding Teen pageant, held May 27 and 28.

Olivia Green, as Miss Clark County’s Outstanding Teen, was crowned first runner-up, earning a $1,000 scholarship prize. In addition to receiving five small awards for her performance, including academic excellence and community co-star award winner, she is the recipient of a $32,000 scholarship to St. Norbert College. Olivia is an eighth-grade student at Gaiser Middle School and the daughter of Jason and Meridith Green.

Anna Countryman, as Miss Greater Vancouver’s Outstanding Teen, received a preliminary talent award of $200, along with becoming a Top Eight finalist. She is a junior at Vancouver School of Arts and Academics, and the daughter of George and Jami Countryman.

The winner of the Miss Washington’s Outstanding Teen title was Tia Moua, Miss Spokane’s Outstanding Teen.

The Miss Washington state pageant will be held at the end of June, with Abbie Kondel representing as Miss Clark County.
