Concordia’s Delgadillo named GNAC defender of year in women’s soccer

Hallquist named 2nd team, Eversaul honorable mention

Concordia senior Ana Delgadillo, a Columbia River High grad, was named the Great Northwest Athletic Conference defensive player of the year in women’s soccer on Monday.

The first-team defender played a key role in the Cavaliers’ defense that posted a 0.63 goals a game while recording 10 shutouts. They received their first bid to the NCAA Division II playoffs on Monday.

This is the second consecutive season that Delgadillo has been named to the All-GNAC First Team.

From Western Washington, junior Taylor Hallquist (Columbia River) was named second team as a defender, and freshman Grace Eversaul (Skyview) was named honorable mention as a midfielder. WWU is also going to the NCAA Division II playoffs.
