Vancouver man dies in Portland shooting Tuesday

Portland Police named 21-year-old Diego Tejeda-Manzo as the victim in a shooting on Southwest Montgomery Street

A Vancouver man died in a shooting in Portland on Tuesday, the Portland Police Bureau announced Wednesday.

Portland Police named 21-year-old Diego Tejeda-Manzo as the victim in a shooting on Southwest Montgomery Street, near Portland State University. The Oregon State Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed he died of homicidal violence due to the gunshot wound.

Portland Police and Portland State University witnesses found Tejeda-Manzo in front of the Subway at 1717 S.W. Park Ave., which intersects with Southwest Montgomery Street. Witnesses told police several people ran from the scene after hearing gunshots.
