Letter: ‘Trickle down’ theory is a lie

Your article (Nov. 8, ” ‘Trickle down’ theory at heart of tax plan“) on the “trickle down” theory should have noted that this theory is a lie and always has been. The GOP routinely claims that tax cuts for the rich and big corporations will “trickle down” to benefit the rest of us, that jobs will increase and wages will rise. When did that ever happen in the past 40 years? Answer: never. All “trickle down” does in let the rich get richer and the debt get bigger.
