PORTLAND — Police have identified the man suspected of stabbing another man near the Cheerful Tortoise in downtown Portland as 27-year-old Shawntaviou Henderson.

Henderson was jailed on suspicion of second-degree assault and a probation violation, Portland police said in a news release.

He’s being held in the Multnomah County Detention Center.
