Central Vancouver — Innovative Services NW received $15,000 from Kaiser Permanente for the Positive Behavior Support in Early Childhood Project. Innovative, through several programs, serves a variety of children with extreme behaviors, whether due to developmental disabilities or to the environmental risk factors, such as developmental delays, family violence, homelessness, chemical dependency, Child Protective Services involvement, incarcerated parents or foster care. The money will help fund a project which will provide Applied Behavior Analysis-related techniques in an educational setting for at-risk, low-income, behaviorally challenged children in early learning.
