Letter: Birth control should be covered

President Donald Trump’s proposed new regulation that allows employers to be exempt from having to provide coverage for birth control for their employees if they have any religious or moral beliefs against it is ridiculous.

People could easily lie about their moral or religious beliefs just to get out of having to cover it. It would also be better financially for the employees to be on birth control because if they get pregnant then there is an employee that is out on maternity or paternity leave that you will have to cover. The regulation takes away a basic form of health care for women that should be something that is provided with no question.
