It has probably been a while since this corner of the Northwest has seen such a star-studded week. That’s not even hyperbole.

Just two nights apart, legendary actor and comedian Bill Murray and former Vice President Joe Biden will take the stage at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, 1037 S.W. Broadway, Portland. Murray strolls through first at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 28 to perform his live stage show, “Bill Murray, Jan Vogler & Friends: New Worlds,” which will see the Academy Award-nominated actor narrate and sing, along with music from cellist Jan Vogler. Then, at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 30, Biden will grace the same stage for his American Promise Tour, which is connected to the recent release of his book, “Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship, and Purpose.” Biden will discuss key political moments in his career as well as how the death of his son Beau has challenged his resolve. Tickets to Bill Murray cost $50 to $150, while Biden tickets cost $25 to $55, or $125 with his book included. 503-248-4335 or www.portland5.com/arlene-schnitzer-concert-hall.

Santa’s iCalendar is getting full, but have no fear because visits to Clark County are already on the schedule. And from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 1, that’s exactly where he’ll be for the Camas First Friday: Hometown Holidays celebration in downtown Camas on Northeast Fourth Avenue. Make sure to stop and chat with Santa, but also leave time for hay rides, sipping cocoa, visiting food vendors, doing crafts and watching the Camas’ community Christmas tree lighting. Free admission. 360-834-5307 or downtowncamas.com/event/hometown-holidays-2017.

Delfel Road, Ridgefield. That’s the best way to find out just how athletic your dog is. Events include obedience, rally, scent work, conformation, weight pull, trick and more. Yes, there will be drinks, snacks and social time at this event, but more importantly, there will be a murder. And even more important than that, a fake murder (whew!). Attend the Billionaires’ Club Annual Masquerade Ball from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 16 to solve the Murder Mystery by swapping clues with other participants, so you can solve the murder before the killer escapes the Camas Hotel, 405 N.E.
