Gov. Inslee appoints Southwest Washington residents to state boards

Clark County — A few local residents were appointed to state boards and commissions by Gov. Jay Inslee in October. Vancouver residents Corey Grandstaff and Doug Trimble were appointed to the Rehabilitation Council for the Blind, which contains 15 appointees by the governor who advise the director of the Department of Services for the Blind. Their terms started Oct. 31, and Grandstaff’s runs until Sept. 13, 2019; Trimble’s runs until Sept. 13, 2020. Rekah Strong of Camas was appointed to the Clark College Board of Trustees. Her term started Oct. 31 and runs until Sept. 30, 2022. Teresea Carson of Woodland was appointed to the Massage Examining Board, which examines candidates for licensure and registration, and recommends and adopts rules and regulations for administering regulatory law. Her term runs from Oct. 31 through Sept. 7, 2019.
