Letter: Bible’s focus: Love one another

By Earl Johnson, VANCOUVER

In his Nov. 27 letter, “Progressives need Christ, too,” Robert J. Wattez quotes Romans, 5:8: “Christ died for us.” I would like for him to define “us.” Does he get theology from a particular denomination or by just taking scripture out of context. What is his definition of a “Christian” and how does he define a sinner? I am a progressive and a Christian.

The Bible does not have a scripture that justifies anyone judging who is or who is not a Christian. The main theme in the Bible is to love one another.
