STEVENSON — Hikers near the town of Stevenson next weekend can get a 10 percent discount at local businesses as part of the fifth annual Hike the Gorge Weekend.
A number of Stevenson businesses will offer the discount from Oct. 13 to 15.
Organizers said this year’s event holds special importance after the Eagle Creek Fire, which started in September, burnt thousands of acres in the gorge.
Participating businesses include Walking Man Brewing, Skamania Lodge’s Cascade Dining Room, Red Bluff Tap House, El Rio Texicantina, Clark and Lewies, Columbia Hardware, Bloomsbury, Out on a Limb Home + Her, The Shed Vintage Toy Store and the gift shop of the Columbia Gorge Interpretive Center Museum.
