Identity theft to headline business forum Oct. 18

VANCOUVER — The Business Growth MAP Alliance, based at Washington State University Vancouver, will host a forum about how to protect businesses from data breaches and identity theft.

Bob Gregg, former CEO of ID Experts, will give a talk about how small businesses can protect sensitive information, the university said in a prepared statement. Gregg is said to be an expert in prevention and restoration of privacy data breaching for corporations and government agencies, the university said.

The forum will be 8:30 to 10 a.m. Oct. 18 at Pacific Continental Bank, 101 E. Sixth St. Registration is $10 in advance or $15 at the door, or free for WSU students with valid ID. Register at business.vancouver.wsu.edu/bgmap, under “Upcoming events.”
