Businesses honored for work with disabled population

VANCOUVER – Clark County will honor people and businesses Tuesday for their commitment to people with development disabilities, as part of National Disability Employment Awareness Month.

Awards will be given to large employers, with 50 or more workers, and small employers who hire people with disabilities. An employee with disabilities will be honored, and two workers will be honored for their work with the disabled community. The event is slated to start 4 p.m. Tuesday at Heathman Lodge, 7801 N.E. Greenwood Drive.
