Letter: ‘Deal’ing with disaster

The Puerto Rico disaster clearly illustrates President Donald Trump’s disconnect with people. It clearly illustrates Trump’s “make a deal” obsession. A disaster is clearly an opportunity for Trump to force a “deal” with a crushed government unable to provide basic needs of its citizens. Do we believe the “deal” would benefit the citizens, our Treasury, or Trump?

“Make a deal” for Trump would be personal monetary gain, perhaps a “free site” for a Trump Tower resort. It will probably not be known for several years, but there is something in Puerto Rico that will benefit “make a deal” bully.
