Letter: Hypocritical and powerful

In the latest scandal of men in power abusing their power, is Harvey Weinstein, the Hollywood movie mogul who allegedly abused many women in the entertainment industry.

If the allegations against Weinstein are proved true he should be subjected to the full extent of the law. Which brings me to the hypocrites at Fox News. Most news organizations covered this extensively; Fox News used this opportunity to politicize this event to the maximum. Weinstein was a large contributor to many Democratic politicians including Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama. For days after the news broke, the leading headlines of FNC and Fox News network were that these politicians were tardy in rebuking him or returning the money their campaigns had accepted.

Not long ago, Fox had its own scandal of someone in power abusing women, Roger Ailes, the head of Fox News who was forced to resign when allegations surfaced that he used his position of power to force himself on young women in the Fox News organization. Searching the Fox News archives I could not come up with one news story by Fox calling for politicians, including our own woman molester-in-chief-45, to rebuke Ailes or call for the return of contributions.

But, then, hypocrites always yell the loudest.
