An unusual estate sale starts today, bringing Christmas cheer a couple of months early. A client of Gary Germer & Associates, who wishes to remain anonymous, is donating her estate to CDM Caregiving Services, a nonprofit running a local in-home care agency.

CDM is in the midst of building a new facility off Andresen Road.

The sale of the estate, which features vintage holiday decor, starts today at 9210 N.E. Vancouver Mall Loop. It runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily through Sunday. Germer said his client is a longtime Portland resident, author and has appeared on the “Today Show” to talk about her vintage Santa Claus collection.

Besides holiday decor, there will be toys, crafts, china and assorted vintage decor.

Germer aims to raise $25,000 to $30,000 for CDM through the estate sale. Vancouver Mall donated the space for the sale.
