Matthew Asplund passed for 232 yards and two touchdowns and Koben Jamison rushed for 82 yards and two touchdowns as the Chieftains clinched a 2A playoff spot with the win.

Columbia River is still in position for the No. 2, 3, or 4 seed to the district playoffs. The No. 2 seed plays a home game in Week 10.

Friday was the last home game on Columbia River’s grass field. The school will get a turf field installed over the summer.
