PORTLAND — A man found dead inside a pickup truck early Monday in Cornelius hit at least two cars before crashing into several light posts and overturning the truck, deputies said.

Rony Reyes-Castellanos died near North Adair Street and 20th Avenue, which is near the city’s Fred Meyer store, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. Speed factored into the crash, deputies said.

Deputies responded to the one-car crash at 1:25 a.m. after someone reported seeing the truck hit several light posts, making it roll onto its side. Reyes-Castellanos, 48, was dead in the Ford pickup truck when deputies arrived.

Deputies learned he hit at least two cars in Hillsboro before the crash. Witnesses reported he was driving recklessly, according to the sheriff’s office.
